The engine light is on also the output shaft speed sensor?

While driving (going from a stop and slowing picking up speed) it felt like I lost third and overdrive, I might have went into that safe mode gear, because I was still able to drive with a solid gear, but I also lost my speedometer. The fluid looked good and it didn't smell burnt. I tried to cycle to get code but that didn't work. The engine light is on also. I still have reverse if that helps. Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on?

If the Vehicle Speed sensor quits working, the trans will shift at predetermined points. Have it scanned for th eexact code/codes.

I went and had it checked, the code was P0720, ouput shaft speed sensor.
I am a little mechanically inclined, is this a apart I can put on?

It isnt in the best spot, top of the transaxle in the back closeest to firewall. Your call, if you can see it.
