2000 Dodge Caravan non-working guages

My Caravan has no working guages since about 3 days ago, the instrument panel does not work. I do not have an owners manual since I bought it from a used car lot. I am wondering what would make the guages suddenly not work. How do I fix the problem? I have not fuel gauge or speedometer and I feel the problem may not be that serious, although I do not feel safe driving the vehicle.
