Most of the time speedo, odometer, fuel guage, temp guage, automatic door locks, seat belt warning, door ajar chimes, rear wiper do not work. If rear wiper is working when guages quit, it will continue to operate until ignition switch turned off or wiper switch turned off, then will not start again. Occasionally they come back to life and odometer is updated. When out, service engine light is on, but goes off after short time if guages begin working. Radio, heater, rear defogger, lights unaffected. Dealer engine analyzer indicates body control module malfunction, but salvage BCM had same problem. Dealer proposes replacing BCM and other parts totalling about $1000 not including labor and won't guarantee that it will fix the problem.

A used BCM will not resolve the issue
you need to program the new BCM to your VIN and equipment for it to work
all you can do is checking fuses and relays and wirings

I had a problem with my 99CV recently. All the lights, dash, headlights, tail lights started flashing! I could stop it by putting the headlamp switch to high beam! The window on the car had been left down slightly in a rain and the carpey t on drivers side was slightly damp. When the car dried out after the weekend, the problem went away! This stuff must be very poorly designed to be this vulnerable to humidity. Is yours getting damp somehow?
