Our 99 grand caravan with 178,000 miles has intermittant 5 to 10 second instrument panel flares. Gauges all go up/down/off/then back to normal. This has happened at all different driving speeds and conditions. Yesterday it happened, but did not return to normal (no gauge readings) for the remaining 4 of 15 miles home. Restarting it in the driveway today, the gauges all come on, but I don't know if it is safe to drive or what the problem is. By reading the other questions here, I dont see the same problem described. Thanks for any info.

It is safe to drive, for as long as you know how much fuel you have and whatever speed you are driving at.

The problem lies within your body control module located behind left side of the dash.
