1998 Dodge Caravan Water pump and no start?

I have the 3.0L engine. Im pretty sure my water pump went out. It started with a small leak and then it wasnt circulating water at all so the car started over heating. Now it wont start at all. Would the water pump going out effect whether the car starts or not?

Hi:
The pump will only cause that problem if you really overheated the engine. Regardless, if it's leaking, I would replace it before you end up with a bigger problem.

As far as the no start, have you checked to see if you are getting spark and fuel?
