1998 Dodge Caravan Radiator problems

My grand caravan is having some kind of a problem. It has some reddish-tanish rusty looking oily stuff coming out of the radiator. I do not know what it is and the van has overheated a few times recently. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My first concern is this. The transmission has a cooler built into the radiator. There have been times that it has leaked into the radiator. Trans fluid is red and a type of oil. I need you to check the trans fluid to see if there is any milkey residue or evidence that ATF is getting into the trans. Do this before driving it again. If this is the problem, it will take out the transmission.
