6 months ago I got this code after check engine light came on. Replaced the #5 plug, all ignition wires, distributor cap and button. Check engine light came back on. Shortly after (6 weeks), needed to replace water pump and replaced the timing belt at the same time. Check engine light was reset and has stayed off until yesterday. Wife says the car "chugs" slightly at low and high speeds. I don't hear anything in the operation. Checking the code it is P305 again. Any ideas

I am going to try some injector cleaner and check the wires again.

As far as the coil, since it is a single coil, wouldn't a coil problem show up as misfires on the other cylinders as well?

Thanks

Yes its one coil but each cylinder have its own driver
and its very possible for one to die or go bad
pull the wire and check for spark
