I am getting a P305 code and have replaced the wires, distributor cap, rotor, and #5 plug. The car runs without any noticeable problem. RPM is about 600 when in drive and stopped. Never had fuel filter replaced, but wouldn't that show as a misc cylinder misfires? Any ideas what to check/do next?

Check compression all it takes is a 10 rpm loss when that cylinder fires to set code.

Thanks for the reply.

What is interesting is that last year at this same time it came on, same code. Replacing the wires, plug, and distibutor did not clear it, but then we had to have the water pump (leaking) and timing belt replaced. Code went away and stayed out until just recently when it turned cold again. Any connection? Could it be an injector plugging? We are looking to sell the car and don't want to spend a lot to fix at this point.

Thanks. I put some injector cleaner in and cleared the code. We'll see what happens next.
