I am having a probelm with my 98 grand caravan, 144,000. The brake lights are not working. I honestly have no clue how long they havent worked but it hasnt been very long I just had an inspection done a month or so ago. The fuse keeps blowing as soon as you hit the brake pedal. My husband and I went through 7 fuses trying numerous things, it finally got to dark to see anymore and my huisband replaced everything and put yet another fuse in and it worked then today, 2 days later (hasnt moved since that night) I had my neighbor check b4 I left to see if they were working and it has blown another fuse. I dont know what could be causing it, and it is baffling my husband.

Don't you hate when that happens.
Check the brake light switch, its connections, and wires. Might also be a short in the wire going back to the lights.

Good hunting and let us know.
