My steering rack is leaking from one of the hard-lines (pressure lines) on the rack & pinion. Is it possible to replace just the line that is no good or does the whole rack need to be replaced, If the rack is replaced, could you ball park the cost of the labor?
I would appreciate any advice you can offer.
Thanks

All of the power steering hoses can be replaced, the pressure return and supply lines all take about 30 to 40 minutes each to replace.

Hi, Just so I am clear about this. The hard lines on the rack itself, (not the supply and return lines of the power steering pump) can be replaced? If yes, where would I be able to puchase them?

I see what you're saying, the hard lines that connect from one place to another on the rack itself.I don't believe they are replaceable. If they are I couldn't find any replacements online. You can get a reman rack and pinion for around $125, labor fees shouldn't exceed $350, thats including an alignment after new rack is installed.
