Vehicle is a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L with 200K+ miles. Starter recently replaced and have no issues there now. Recently have been having the guage cluster go out including the odo and tranny indications, then come back on at random times but van didn't die with it. Ran fine whether the cluster worked or not. Occasionaly when hot van wont upshift into last gears, usually stop van and it resets.

NOW for the real problem. Will die on occasion while driving. Then it will crank but wont fire or start, intermittently. Seems to start fine after sitting a long time (few hours). Other indications-No horn and the airbag light is on. Fuses are fine. I do have fuel pressure at the rail and there are no other obvious indications. Any suggestions? trying to get the last few miles out of this van...

from your description I noticed few things
1. cluster going out possible a bad cluster and I don’t believe it will effect derivability

2. not shifting to higher gears most common is the tranny solenoid pack and or input and out put sensors on the side of the tranny
3. stalling and not starting for long time I would say its the crank sensor check it and or replace it also check for fuel pressure

good luck
