My 1992 Dodge Caravan won't start. The battery is powered up and we have interior lights and lights on the dash. When you turn the key over nothing happens but the fan is coming on. What would be the cause of it not starting?

Could be a bad starter/solenoid. Check for 12 volts at the small wire on the starter with key in crank position. If it has power then the starter needs to be replaced. If none, then get back to me and we will figure out where it stops.

I know it sounds stupid but make sure your shifter is in park. Also see if you have the same problem in neutral. Then make sure all wires have good connections. I went through this with a van last week and I came to find out that a simple wire coming off of the positive cable was frayed and caused it not to start even though everything came on. Let me know what happens
