Engine Performance problem
1991 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I worked on replacing a water pump and put everything back together and I cant start the car. I can crank the engine over but nothing. I forgot to disconnect the battery is that an something I should have done.

If nothing was shorted out while working on it, the battery shouldn't have anything to do with it. My guess is you bumped the wiring to the crank sensor. Have you checked to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel?

I did check for fuel and spark. I am wondering if I messed with my timing, and how is that possible. I am so baffled I dont know what to do. I might try and re wire my distriibuter but I dont think that is whats wrong. I cant find that crank sensor is it located in the distributer. Thank You.

It is under the hood, rear engine area, where transaxle bellhousing meets engine, mounted in engine block
