2007 Dodge Caliber Rear view mirror

I recently managed to knock my review mirror off of the wind sheild. It had a small metal post that fit over the ball end on the wind sheild and on the back of the mirror. It looks to be spring loaded and was kind of bent and distroyed in the process. The mirror is fine as well as the wind sheild mount but the middle part is not. I have been told I need to by a whole new mirror for around $400 to get that part. That seems crazy to me. Please help with a suggestion. We have checked the junk yards and they want to sell me the whole mirror as well for $200 +

Hi Billy,

Well sorry to say that they are right, That is because your mirror is electronic and depending on what it displays you will need to get the same one. However, if it isn't neccessary to have an electronic one and you don't mind that fact then you can get a regular mirror from your local parts store. Or you may even check ebay.
