Avenger odometer, speedometer, trip counter not working!

Hello, I need help here guys. I have a 96 avenger 2.0 4 cyl es model. My speedometer, trip counter, and speedometer do not work, or when they do they count very very slowly, but only sometimes. Is my problem the speed sensor, or is it something else? Please help! Thanks in advance, rick.
