Transmission problem
1999 Dodge Avenger Automatic

The other day I went out for breakfast and the car acted like it was either the fuel filter or the fuel pump then it got to the point that when I tryed to go it would just rev up load and would not move but a ince or so in a min till I got it going. My father in law said it had oil in the transmission I am not sure if he got it looked at but he said he could even see the oil and the fluid was way overfull. Is there anyway that oiln can get in the trans mission without someone putting it in because I have never put anything in the transmission also where is the plug to drain it also as well as the filter? Would it help to drain the refill with trans fluid?

I think it would definitely help but any other system contaminating it will just cause the same problem.
The transmission's filter is on the valve body inside, and you can see it if you remove the transmission pan. The fill hole and stick is small and near the front left as you look at it, or the front right side on the transaxle. It is very far down next to the unit so you'll need a flashlight and look for the stick with a ring to grab it.
The cooler in the radiator or another unusual problem has occurred. Bring it to a trans shop for a proper diagnosis. OK
