1997 Dodge Avenger clicking noise

hello this is mrs campbell again, well I wrote you about the gasoline smell and car dieing, well I think I know what the problem is but dont know what it is, here is what it is doing: ok while the car is going down the street it will die. So I turn it off. Then after about 1-2 minutes I will hear a small click back behind the panale where all your trouble lights and speedomtor is then it will start back up! This happens each time and the longer I wait after hearing the click the farther I can go befor it dies again, so what is this click? Is it electrical? Is it the fule fuse? My daddy lloked for a place for the fule fuse but cound not find it, it that is it where is it under the hood, help me I need reply right away!
