I am using Launch X431 CRP919X OBD2 Scanner and it doesn’t read in auto mode. I have to input my VIN into the car.
Thank you

Some vehicles, from specific regions, may not support automatic VIN retrieval. In such cases, manual entry is the only option. You might want to get ahold of the Launch support team to see what they say, I dont of any changes to the car that can be made to make this function work.

Thank Ken, it has done the automatic VIN before but sometimes it don’t get it. I have to enter the VIN number and then go from there. I believe it the power problem. What ever I have is malfunctioning some module are something. I will keep trying to find out what is wrong. Maybe the PCL module I order will help me.
Thank for your support.

The only thing I can think of is the data port connector is dirty or corroded. The PCL (Powertrain Control Logic) module would be the only other thing like you said, is the car having an issue besides this?
