While attempting to adjust the distributor. Bridging the Te1 and T1 fails to flash the diagnostic mode. The bulb for the check engine light is good, lights up on the dash on engine start up. But fails to stay on to indicate no codes when the pins are bridged. Does not flash any codes at all for that matter.

Hi, sorry for getting back so late. Finally had some free time to work on the truck. Checked all fuses and the relay. Also pulled the ECU doesn't look like any capacitors swelled or anything on a quick little look. Anything else I can do to further narrow it down to a bad ECU or something else?

If you have checked the wiring with the guide above and everything looks okay, I would try a rebuilt ECU. Make sure the ECU is getting power and ground.

Electronic Control Unit (ECU): Lower R.H. side of instrument panel.

Please let us know what happens.
