I replaced my clock spring after accidentally breaking it during a steering rack replacement. The horn and crise control work perfectly but the air bag light won't go off. I used an Autel Scanner to erase the code (B0101 Squib circuit d open) but the code just comes back and the air bag light stays on. The clock spring, I used to replace the OEM clock spring with one from Clock Spring Xperts.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

It sounds like the replacement part you have is defective or the wrong one. This code and Airbag light are on because of a connection problem within the clock spring. I would also check the connectors for the airbag. Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply. I took the steering wheel off and found that I had failed to connect the airbag properly. One click and the problem is solved.
