I was at a stop light and heard a thunk and then the howling noise starts

So, why would I hear a think then feel something at my feet if it’s the differential? I’m stumped. Not a wheel bearing because only does when accelerating and when let off it’s a whirr almost a whine kind, but there’s no gasket? Or the kid at Oriley's put my make in wrong.

Hi,

If you were stopped when you heard it, I wouldn't think it has to do with the differential. Nothing would have been moving to cause a thunk.

Is the sound loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear? If it is, could you do that?

Let me know. Also, please confirm that you were stopped when this happened.
