Shuts off in second gear

Starts, idles and takes off in 1st gear shift to second shuts off.

More than likely you have an issue with the spark plugs or coils. Have you removed the cover and inspected the coils? I suspect you have an oil leak causing a misfire. It may idle fine but once you introduce the load it stalls.

Let's start with pulling all the plugs and coils and look for oil.

Here is the process for the valve cover gasket as I suspect this is the ultimate issue.

Let me know what you find and we will see if we have proof to what I am thinking. Thanks

No oil on top part or front of motor.
Cleaned MAF sensor too. Pulls strong in 1st gear some other sensor maybe?

Okay. Did you actually pull the plugs out and check them?

It could be a sensor but I would think more of something mechanical is happening because the engine doesn't really know the difference between first and second gear. Let me know if the plugs are good and we can go from there. Thanks

Plugs fine had crack in coil. Replaced runs fine. Thanks
