I just acquired the van listed above (Grand Caravan 3.3-R engine). The test drive went flawless. Then once home I took it to a parts store that I trust for the check engine light and he said that there was an error message and that he could not even begin to retrieve the trouble codes.
On the way home it shut off several times and would take five to fifteen minutes before restarting and then might run for five minutes or twenty seconds.
I have been told that it was the PCM, but with limited diagnostic flow chart and pinpoint test information I am skeptical without verifying it through proper checkout and diagnostic tests.
I had a stroke several years ago and do not have all of the testing equipment and information, ie Mitchell/ AllData Snap On scanner that I used to have at my shop.
This is why I am having to reach out to you for assistance.
