Electric Park Brake
The operation of the electric parking brake (EPB) system, is by a pull/push switch, (pull for parking brake activation and push for parking brake deactivation), which is mounted on the floor console. The EPB calipers are activated via cables by an electric motor and actuator unit which is mounted on the rear subframe. Overall control of the EPB is from a control module which is located in the luggage compartment behind the right-hand rear luggage compartment trim panel. On vehicles without Brembo brakes, the parking brake is achieved through the conventional rear brake pads.

EPB Operation
The EPB system will apply the parking brake when the switch is operated and the ignition key is removed from the ignition. If the parking brake switch is not operated when removing the ignition key, the EPB system will automatically apply the parking brake. An instrument cluster warning lamp and message accompanied by an audible warning chime will be heard if vehicle motion is detected whilst the parking brake is being applied.
Where EPB is applied at speeds below 3 kph the parking brake will apply full force, at speeds of 3-32 kph, the EPB will apply for the length of time the switch is applied. Repeated pulls of the switch will increase the parking brake effort until full force is achieved. Above 32 kph the EPB will apply for booms, then steps of 250 ms if the switch is held up. Pulling the switch once and releasing it will apply the parking brake for 500 ms, each subsequent pull will apply the parking brake for 250 ms steps until full force is applied. Pushing the switch or throttle application will release the parking brake (In all cases the EPB switch has overall priority).

Drive Away Release
For automatic vehicles, the EPB will release when drive or reverse is selected and the throttle is being applied.

Removal
1. Carry out the parking brake cable tension release.
2. Remove both rear wheels and tires.

3. Disconnect the parking brake release actuator electrical connector.

4. Detach the parking brake release actuator wiring harness retaining clip.

5. Remove the parking brake release actuator retaining bolts.

6. Detach the parking brake cable.
1. Reposition the retaining tang.
2. Detach the parking brake cable.

2. Detach the parking brake release actuator cable.

9. CAUTION: Place a suitable support stand under the axle assembly.

Remove the axle assembly retaining bolts.

The pump is on the right side under the rear seat cushion. There is a plate that you pop up and you will have access to the pump.

Been a while but as I recall the cable comes out and just loops in a U then turns so it is parallel to the rear axle. The cable connects between the P-Brake cables coming out of the park brake calipers. The adjusters need to be backed off and the actuator fully released using a specific tool that actuates the motor to release pressure prior to installing the cables. If I recall you can get it to release by applying power to the actuator as well. One direction retracts it, the other releases it. That is done at the control module connection in the trunk. The two connections should be in the wiring for the brakes, Green and Red come to mind, they are the larger wires.

Then it should prompt the owner on initial start to activate the brake to take out any slack. If not you disconnect the battery cable for 45 seconds, reconnect it, start the car, step on the brake 5 times and it should tell you it isn't calibrated. Step on the brake and apply the EPB, release the EPB then the pedal. Apply the EPB 5-6 times to verify no error codes.

The cables slip into notches in the two connectors. One end is a simple barrel that snaps into a sleeve 2, The other goes into a slot and snaps into place 1.

Not sure if that's any help. Jag uses the same system on a few vehicles (as does Ford)
