When I hook my scanner to the car and look at data stream it says driver seat track sensor faulted. What exactly does this mean?

Do you have a specific code? The seat track sensor on this vehicle is tied into the supplemental restraint system. Its purpose is to help determine the airbag force needed to protect the driver based on the distance between the seat and airbag.
If you have a sensor fault, it simply means what it says. Either the sensor is bad or there is a breakdown in the circuit itself. By chance, do you have the code that was retrieved?
Let me know.

No, there were no codes for it. I have a launch tablet and I read it on the data stream. But there was an airbag code, but I reset it.

Hi,
The idea that you had an airbag code could be related. Do you remember the code it was? Has it turned the CEL on again or is it staying off?
