I'm hoping that someone will be able to help. My left axle broke and broke a hole in the transmission case. Does anyone have any suggestions on a repair? Short of removing the transmission. See attached picture.

Hi TJS,

Unfortunately the picture did not show up. Please try reposting it. However, if there is an actual hole in the transmission case, you will need to at least replace the case. However, with transmission costs these days, it would be much more wise to just go ahead and replace the entire unit rather than swapping over all the components to a new case.

Please try to post the picture because that may change my opinion if it didn't actually put a hole in it as I am imagining. Thanks

Okay. That looks like a pretty good size hole that I would not try to repair. Unfortunately, I would recommend a replacement transmission.

Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks
