The D3557A code is a BMW fault code that indicates a problem with the driver's seat belt buckle pre-tensioner. This device pulls the seat belt tighter when the car is in an accident. Here is how to fix it in the diagrams below, once the pretensioner have been used it must be replaced. FYI> Check out the images below.
