Two cylinders are running 30 psi, one cylinder is running 40 psi, the last cylinder is running 50 psi

Will insurance declare this as totaled?

Good afternoon,

They will asses the value of the car based on miles and condition at the time of the appraisal.

Then they will price out the engine repair. If the bill exceeds 80% of the value of the car, then they will total the car.

It is only valued at $3,000.00, but the mechanic said I will end up needing electrical work eventually down the road.

The adjuster will not take that into consideration.

80% of the $3,000.00 is $2,400.00. A motor will cost more than that.
