Hi there. My car is jerking when idling. Checked using OBD it indicated a misfire in cylinder number 2. Checked the plugs and found oil in cylinder number 2 plug well. At the dealership they indicated that the compression is low on cylinder number 2. My question is, can low compression cause oil to accumulate in the plug well? Thanks for your support.

Good afternoon,

Low compression is either from a valve issue or piston rings.

As far as the oil in the plug well, that is from the valve cover gasket seal.

The engine will have to be disassembled to gain access to valves and pistons.

Okay, thanks. Will look into valves and pistons. Will also change the valve cover gasket as well.
