So I’m currently in the middle of replacing my head gaskets and was hoping you could help me. I just need to know what sequence and NM I have to tighten the cylinder head bolts and the camshaft cover bolts as well? Also could you let me know what feeler gauge I should stop with for the cylinder head? Thanks a lot!

Hello,

I'm not sure what you are wanting to do with the feeler gauge, but all of the other information I have included in the diagrams down below for you. I hope that this helps.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello again,

Tightening head bolts is pretty easy. Start in the middle and tighten in the stages provided earlier, switching sides as you go, and work outwards. The basic idea here is get the middle bolts first like you are straightening a bedspread. Work from the middle out to flatten as you go. I hope that this helps.

Thanks,
Alex

So I just need to tighten at 45 NM then tighten 90 degrees and then another 90 degrees is that correct? Also I see its for 271 engine not 271.8 is that going to be a problem or are they the same? Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

Also there are three bolts connecting turbo to my muffler pipe. Can I get torque spec for that too? And last thing can I also get torque spec for the exhaust manifold and intake manifold? Thank you so much.
