Hi,

If you are having trouble getting the inner have to set. Check the splines and circlip for damage and make sure the spines are a lined with the trans-axle. While rotating the axle 90 degrees a time give the axle a quick shove into the trans-axle. If it won't set into the trans-axle the splines or circlip could be damaged replace and retry. If the inner axle housing came apart from the Trunon line it up with the axle house put back into place. Then check the joint for smooth operation and install it into the trans-axle. If you find the inner axle joint loose and sloppy after it is back into the axle housing one or more of the Trunion Rollers fell off and will need to be reinstalled. The inner axle joint will needed to be disassembled. Remove the C/V boot and inspect the Trunion, roller and needle bearings and reinstall it back onto the Trunion and install boot assembly. Then reassemble the joint and install back into the trans-axle. I'm attaching schematics below the pic shows them marking the joint. It recommended but the can be reinstalled with marking the Trunion and housing. Let us know it this was helpful or need more information.

Thank you
