I'm replacing the driver side CV axle shaft. The factory manual appears to say to remove the passenger axle first, and tap out the driver side with a screwdriver through the passenger side hole. I have a slide hammer puller with the U-shaped CV adapter, and also have pry bars. Is it possible to remove the driver side using these without removing the passenger side? (I don't want to damage the differential by removing it incorrectly)

Hello,

I found this to be a strange design that you will have to remove one side before the other.
However it can be done without any issue.
You should be able to just use a big/long enough screwdriver and tap from the opening on the passenger side.
Just take your time with it and you should not damage anything.
