How to repair a burn spot on cup holder?

I was wondering if I could fix a little burn from charcoal on my cup holder that is not deep? How can I fix it or what can I do?

Hi,

Is it possible for you to take a few pics and upload them for me to see? I ask because it sounds like the cup holder was burned/melted. If that is correct, I need to see to what extent it was damaged.
