Of all the video's i've seen none have or is willing to show how one can get the cupholder out when it will not come out far enough to use a screwdriver to remove it completely. All their videos show they can pull theirs out and get to the spring in the back. Like I said none will go into where it itself will not budge.

Hi,

My manual is very vague. I did attach the directions I have available below.

If you have a CD player or video cassette player, they need to be removed first.

Take a look at the directions below and let me know if they help.

Take care,

Joe

Although it's a cup holder it is not the one I was hoping for. There is one located in the dash below the heater/ac switch This is the part I was asking about. How to open it because it won't come no further than what you see here.

Hi,

Does it push in at all? That is designed to release when you press in on it. If it isn't moving, something has to be wedged in it. Is there anything under the dash that would give you access to removing it?

When you push it. It goes in a little and comes back out flush with the dash. I looked under the dash and the only possible way maybe is to remove dash. But if only I could find exploded view. That would be helpful.

That is the cupholder and it looks in the video that what is broken is not allowing you to open. You are going to have to use a little of your imagination here maybe look under side to try to see where it is hanging up maybe with small screwdriver push what is binding, otherwise you will have to take the radio dash apart.

Cheers, Nick

My imagination has come into play several times. It looks to me it's demolition time. Then after its out it's time for an autopsy. I already know it's c.O.D. Lol.

Well, I got it out finally after giving it some umph. I took screwdriver to the bottom and pulled hard. It's out and I don't care if it does not go back in. Someone else came across it because there are screws in the back holding spring on.
