Mechanic could not find any trouble codes. Cruise control ECU would not register. For $75.00 replaced brake switch did not solve the issue. Looked online and saw that there is a cruise control ECU. Found used for $20.00. Unable to find out the mounting location to swap out online. Can someone let me know the location or where I can find the location online? Car is 20 years old and runs good. I will get all the required maintenance done. Trying to fix cheap if possible otherwise will live without.

Symptom.
Turns on when button is pushed. When the "set" button is pushed, the cruise light will blinks.

Hi,

The module (ECU) is behind the dash on the passenger side. I attached a pic below to help. If it is turning on but then flashing when you set it, a speed sensor or the ECU. The only other thing could be a wiring issue. I attached a schematic of the system for you to see. It's pic 2.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,
Joe

Thank you. Is it easy to replace? Or do you have to take the dash apart to get to it?

Also you said behind the dash on passenger side. The picture shows the drivers side.

Hi,

It is the driver's side. I'm not sure why I said that. When removing it, I would recommend disconnecting the battery and not reconnecting it until the new one is connected.

Let me know if it helps.

Joe
