There's noise coming from the engine it a tacking sound when start the car, it decreases when I shift gears. I opened the sump and found that it was a bearing knock. I replaced the bearings and it was quite for a day the next the noise started again. I checked the bearings once again. I found that the bearing was badly scarfed. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

Hi,

First check the engine oil quality and the quantity, check the oil filter, must be clean, engine oil must be at correct viscosity, then check the engine oil pressure.

Here is our guide: https://www.2carpros.com/articles/high-or-low-engine-oil-pressure.

Also, check the crankshaft main bearing journals they must be clean and polished, damaged crankshaft journals can wear the bearing inserts. Also, check the oil passages inside the block cylinder and the crank shaft. https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-car-engine-works.
