Theft light blinks and car will not turn over. (Mechanics puzzled, and could be costing me a small fortune!) I had it towed across street to repair shop. They replaced the fuel pump, filter, and rely. The card been there three days. I just called and the said the car still will not start and that they picked a part from a junk yard, and would call me when it starts! What is happening? I do not know. My car was running fine, pulled into grocery store, and that was it. Please can someone help?

When the alarm was set did you try and clear it? Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes and reconnect then unlock the drivers door to reset the alarm?

If so then electronics can go out at anytime unfortunately. They went to get a used alarm control module from another car so it will save you the cost of going to the dealer where it would cost more.

Here is a wiring diagram so you can see the part they are replacing under the steering column, it will come with a new key as well.

Please let us know what happens so it will help others.

Cheers, Ken

Thank you Ken, yes you were right about the alarm control module. That was replaced, and new keys. I have another question though, he replaced my fuel pump and filter thinking that was the reason. Should I have to pay for that, he also replaced the battery cables. Both of which could have been the reason right? The whole job is $850. I just don't want to get burned. I thank you guys again! Have a great evening & happy motoring.

Yep, that is a sticking one, I would think if he was a good guy he would give you your money back since he missed it. I know when I replace a part the car didn't need in situations like this (nobody is perfect) I never charged the customer.

It doesn't hurt to ask, let me know what happens

Cheers, Ken
