The vehicle won’t start.
I have changed the following parts:
Battery
Fuel filter
MAP sensor
Coil
All spark plugs and leads
Coolant Temperature sensor

I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the key.

There is spark.

But when trying to start it just cranks and cranks but won’t start. I did the test that your website suggested about shifting and trying with the car in neutral to test the neutral sensor on the transmission but that didn’t work. Any help you can give is appreciated.

Have you checked to see if you are getting fuel?
Does the fuel pump come on for a few seconds when the key is in the on position?
One way to tell if it is a fuel delivery issue is to spray starting fluid into the intake and try to start. If it starts for a few seconds and shuts off, then you will know the engine is not getting fuel.

Take a look at this helpful guide:

Let me know what you find or if you have any questions.
Thank you.

When I turn the key, I hear the fuel pump turn on. I checked for fuel and there isn’t any. I ran a Noid light test on both injector connectors and there was nothing, the light didn’t come on.

Interestingly though is that when I went out to the vehicle and removed the intake cover etc. And had a friend turn on the ignition it fired right up. I put the cover on again and the vehicle fired up three more times after running fine for about ten minutes each time. But when I went to start it again it is back to how it was cranking but not starting. I didn’t move the vehicle when starting and turning off.

What to do next?

That code 54 - EGR system failure or fuel pump circuit low voltage.

So could be a wiring issue with the fuel pump, corrosion can prevent it from getting full voltage.

You will need to check the voltage to the fuel pump. It should be at 12V.

Here is a helpful guide on how to test wirings:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

I have attached the fuel pump wiring schematics below for your reference.
