My 1990 pontiac 6000 3.1l will start when its cold and dies out once it warms up. I want to try and replace the crank sensor, only problem is I have no clue where the sensor is located. Id apreciate any help pictures would be awesome. And if anyone has any other sugestions as to what it could be (possibly icm?) Would be apreciated

Before replacing parts without being sure what the problem is, check to see if there is spark and fuel to the engine when it won't start. Do that and let me know what you find.

Ive got both fuel and spark going to the engine, it really only stalls out once the engine is warm and will start up again after its cooled down, wich is why im thinking either crank sensor or icm, crank sensor is an attractive option as its a 30$ part I just dont know where its located so I can check if it damaged or dirty. Btw the check engine light isnt on when I manage to start it

I would also check the fuel pressure when it acts up. You can rent a tester at a parts store and monitor the pressure. When it act up check the pressure.
