Crank, crank, clunk.

It will crank normally for a couple seconds then make a clunk sound and stop. Sometimes the engine will rumble a little. Sometimes it will not. We have had it running multiple times, but it will not consistently start.

Battery is brand new; coil pack is brand new, fuse box is new, fuel injectors brand new, fusible links recently replaced/ soldered in, fuel pump /assembly replaced, CCRM replaced, FPDM replaced, PCM replaced, keys programmed to new PCM.

What is the issue?

Hi,

If it is making a clunk, are you sure the starter is good or if the flex plate teeth are damaged? When it does run, does it run properly? When it clunks, does the starter just stop?

If possible, record what it is doing and upload it for me to hear. Also, let me know if the starter has been inspected or replaced as well as the flex plate. If there is a loud clunk, we may have a cracked flex plate.

Let me know.

Joe
