Cranks but no start

I put in a new engine but it will not start. Crankshaft was damaged, put in a new crankshaft of the same type. We suspected the crankshaft sensor, but it does not seem to be so.

If you can scan for codes also try a security system reset because if engine was pulled battery was disconnected and that will set it off. see link.
