Hello all,
My name is Harrison and I have recently discovered that my father has a 1972 FJ55 Toyota Land Cruiser (I'm aware its not the same model as on the option board when you begin to ask a question, but thats the closest I could get) and it has been sitting for about 15 years. I was wondering if anyone could possibly give me a cost estimate on what it would take to get it to start again.

Thanks to all

Good morning,

This will be very costly for you to get this going.

You will need to replace every fluid in the truck first. You will need to drop the fuel tank and have it flushed with all fuel. The lines will have to be blown out and the manual fuel pump replaced. The carb would have to be replaced or rebuilt.

All the hoses will need to be replaced as well. The tires and most likely the brakes will need to be replaced as well.

Based on just those basics, I would estimate it at two to three thousand dollars and that is just the start of it.
