Car temperature goes up to almost 220 degrees? Overheating?

Then goes back down and when Car is turned off it goes up to 220. When I go back to restart it then once turned on it goes back down.

This sounds normal, is the engine overheating? What kind of problem are you having?

No it's not normal and no it's not overheating as well just the temperature gauge is jumping up and down when it comes to a stop or when I slow down below five miles per hour.

It is common for the engine coolant sensor to short out or have a loose connection at the electrical connector so check that as well. Here is the location of the sensor so you can change it out, if this is not the problem then the instrument cluster is going bad and needs replacement, check out the images below to show you how to fix the problem. If the cluster is bad, you can get a rebuilt unit by searching Google, have your VIN number ready. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
