Coolant temperature sensor missing an extension?

Sensor is 2 blade. It was broken off when I bought it. There are no connectors on the wire harness that fit. Am I missing an extension wire/cable?

So by engine coolant sensor, I think you mean the engine temperature sensor which is under the intake manifold, correct? There is no wiring extension for that sensor, it is part of the main engine wiring harness. Here is the sensor location so you can check it out yourself. Check out the images (below).
