I took off pretty fast to get in front of a vehicle on the highway and seen a puff of smoke come out the back of my vehicle and started smelling coolant. When I got home I popped the hood and I seen that is was wet at the rear of the engine. Can you tell me what coolant lines run back there.

You have heater core lines and a crossover line but it could also be a head gasket. So we need to start with just testing to locate the area of the leak. Just looking for the wet area doesn't always narrow it down enough so let's pressure test the system and look for where it is dripping.

Once we know the line or specific component then we will have a better idea what we need to do to fix it. Thanks

Good morning,

At the back are the rear heater lines if you have rear heating.

I attached a YouTube video on the replacement of the lines.

I would pressure test the system to be sure they are the issue.
