Bought the car for $4,500.00 and don't want to spend over $2,300.00 to fix a blown head gasket if that's what's happening. Coolant is leaking into the oil, but it's a slow leak. Coolant will last about 4 days. I was wondering if I should use a leak stop product. Many have sodium silicate aka liquid glass which will ruin the engine if it gets into the oil. Are there any recommendations for a leak stop product for coolant leaking to oil?

Hello,

Coolant mixing with oil is a sign of a blown head gasket.

Using leak stop product to seal head gasket or any other leak is a hit or miss. It works for certain leaks but not the others.

One of the popular ones out there is made by Blue Devil.

We have a helpful video on this. Take a look, it has some good information.

Thank you.
