Control module fault code 01044?

I wiped the control module code off the ecu and now I have a fault code 01044 and abs on and traction light is on so I’m just wondering if anyone can help me fix it or how to get the code that was originally coded into it or what do I do to fix this problem

Volkswagen modules are very specific. They must be coded correctly or safety systems shut down. So if you don't have the old module the dealer or shop with ODIS or advanced scan tool can do it too.

01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded

There is no way around this. Sorry, can I ask if you still have the old module? Ken

Yeah I have the old module and I have the Autel maxiDAS ds900 scanner and I have the most recent version I just need to get to use of it but I just need to get someone who can help me get the code and I have no problem with them using the machine I’m shur the code is saved or backed up and it should be possible to get the code back using the machine

So when you say I wiped the code off the module do you mean I cleared the code and it keeps coming back? If so it sounds like you have a bad ABS control module and it need to be replaced.
