My 2013 SRT Viper GTS is the first car I've had with computer, back-up camera, lots of electronics, etc. My last new car was 1999 Chevrolet. Are the extra electronics the reason that the attachments to the positive and negative posts of the battery are more involved than the simple black cables connected to positive and negative posts of 1991 Chevrolet battery?

Good morning,

Yes, a lot of the extra electronics are add on's even at the dealer level and they will take power directly from the battery and they will attach the power leads directly to the positive side of the battery for a power source.

Roy, Thanks very much. In my case, there seem to be equal extra attachments to both positive and negative posts. Randy
