I press the button on gear shifter, and it does nothing. Over drive will not engage. Only have 3 gears on transmission while truck is in drive.

I'm not sure if this makes a difference or helps, but last time I drove the truck everything was fine and in working order. I did not drive truck for about 4 months. Battery was drained, so I jumped truck with a jump box. As I started to drive, I noticed my speedometer was not working at all along with the issue I am having with the column gear shifter (Over drive does not work or engage. OD button on shifter does not work. OD light stays on / blinking constantly) Please forgive me. I don't remember if OD light on gear shifter constantly stays on or light constantly flashes/blinks.

Is the speedometer not working related to problem with over drive on truck?

I have seen a bad overdrive switch cause this problem, here is how to change it out, also we should run the codes to see if any are stored. The light is not supposed to flash.
