Exiting off highway, downshifting, clutch pedal got hard instantly with no warning. Wouldn't go to the floor so I could shift. Suddenly popped loud like something broke then it went to the floor. Truck won't start without clutch pushed in, but it starts now but won't go into gear.

Good evening.

Sounds like the throw-out bearing in the clutch failed and damaged the pressure plate. Look like you will need to replace the clutch assembly.

I was hoping it was just the linkage, but you're the second person to bring up the throw-out bearing. I can't even crawl under it to check anything until I can get jack stands over there this afternoon. Thanks.
